Hi Pete

It's a pleasure.

Yes, it should be interesting to see how the edge grows.

Totally understand, time is precious, especially when you have different things on the go, I struggle myself to put the time in. Any contributions at all will be appreciated.

all the best

Ian

About Me:
With more than thirty years experience, Photographic Consultant Pete Jenkins has first-hand working knowledge of the Photographic Industry, including editorial, commercial, and Public Relations sectors.

Understanding as he does that a supreme quality image will repay its cost many times over; he strives to work with clients who share that mindset. Those individuals and organisations that appreciate, as he does, that a high quality web site or publication can only be so with the best possible images. These people are his target market.

Detail Photography, his business, has an expanding digital photo-library - extensive stock material of Nottingham and the East Midlands, child and parenting issues, heritage events, and locations around the UK. As a regular contributor to many trade publications including The British Journal of Photography, Press Gazette and The Journalist, he also has a column in Digital Photo Pro, where his insight and experience is valued by both the editorial team and the professionals to whom the publication is addressed.

Much of Petes’ work is now focussed on unions, non government organisations, conferences and speakers. Recent projects have found him at union annual general meetings, numerous union activities, professional speaker events, and public demonstrations on behalf of many agencies, unions and trade exhibitions. Clients use him to create the right image in printed material, on the web and in their marketing through their photographs.

Just remember, selling rights to our work is what makes us Professional photographers. If our clients start eroding those rights further, along with that fact that there is simply less work around today, then more of us will find it impossible to make a l… Continue

Road photos across USA

Hi, Im planning on doing a trip across US starting L.A. all route 66 ending in Chicago and then to New York.
Any tips of things that I can find to shoot along the way ?
It can be anything, from sightseeing to a famous crazy guy in a town.

Regards,

Diego

Electric Shock

I did the second part of the Littlewoods pools shoot yesterday, got off to a great start, we hired this large studio in Battersea, London. I was quite happy setting up my lights, the studio manager pointed me in the direction of there extention leads.

I picked up this coiled extension lead, plugged it into the wall, like you do and thought great this will do the trick, so I walked over to one of my strobes holding the end of the extension lead when WALLOP!!! yep, one hell of an electric shock w… Continue
