No, my maiden name was Harrison...I was previously married to an Eggleston...I get around I guess! I do love Scottish Eggs...discovered those at a Highland Games Festival a few years back. Thanks for sending the cross process action...I will go get it and play around with it and post my results. I just did a session with a cool old crumbling brick wall (around here, if its 75 years old, it's OLD - unlike your part of the world where stuff is really old, like Castles!

I, the 4 Scottish terriers will do it every time.

I have done you a quick cross process action for ps, only thing is you will have to change it a bit for every image since all images have different and varying amounts of colour. you might like it or on the other hand you might want to bin it, but give it a bash.

You can click on the settings and vary the amounts of R,G and B. see how you get on with it.

I'll email it to you.

Oh no, I LOVE Scottish accents...sorry about the British thing...you have similar words and phrases you use. Anyway, I'm an accent "ho"....Eggleston is a common name in England...I think its the name of a pie as well. Very Anglo Saxon. I read alot of British Chick Lit books and they crack me up sometimes because they're trying to write for an American character but they use phrases that are not American...just a little funny, I find my laughs where I can!

I have 4 Scottish Terriers if that will endear me to you any....

Jesus, I have no idea what an eggleston is, but maybe i'm a bit thick :-)

The grand daughter is lovely.

Is the accent that obvious, there was me using my amercanisms aswell.

I'm Scottish anyway, which is probably even worse.

I look very young for 50 in this photo don't I??? That is actually my beautiful granddaughter. I can hear your British accent in your posts...love it - we have good friend from there that now live on this side of the pond. I used to be an "Eggleston" - probably pretty common over there, here I was always having to spell it.

Excellent, we really need some people that are happy to contribute, I think either everyone is sitting on the fence waiting for someone to say something at the moment or they think it's just a good place to put their fotos - but we are very young at the moment as far as sites/forums go so I'm sure it's just that.

I think I can see a couple of people that will be great contributors from their response so far and I think it will be mostly the woman to be honest (which is great), and the odd guy of course.

Anyway, you look really young in your photo, I'm sure you must be a bit older than that :-) is someone propping you up.

I checked out you site, you have some great pics going on there.

speak soon

Ian

p.s. oh! I wonder where that prize has gone, I'm sure it was here earlier, you know, I think someones lifted it :-)

Road photos across USA

Hi, Im planning on doing a trip across US starting L.A. all route 66 ending in Chicago and then to New York.
Any tips of things that I can find to shoot along the way ?
It can be anything, from sightseeing to a famous crazy guy in a town.

Regards,

Diego

Electric Shock

I did the second part of the Littlewoods pools shoot yesterday, got off to a great start, we hired this large studio in Battersea, London. I was quite happy setting up my lights, the studio manager pointed me in the direction of there extention leads.

I picked up this coiled extension lead, plugged it into the wall, like you do and thought great this will do the trick, so I walked over to one of my strobes holding the end of the extension lead when WALLOP!!! yep, one hell of an electric shock w… Continue

Guardian Rights Grab

Hi Folks,

This is the letter I have just sent to Chris Elliott at the Guardian. Now he won't care what I say, probably won't care if a score of us write. But if every single photographer reading this were to write, then GNM might just listen.

Just remember, selling rights to our work is what makes us Professional photographers. If our clients start eroding those rights further, along with that fact that there is simply less work around today, then more of us will find it impossible to make a l… Continue
